Juice for Life
by Ruth Tal Brown
The Toronto gourmet juice bar slash restaurant of the same name is my absolute favourite vegetarian restaurant in the world. And now I can make their dishes at home! Some of the recipes require planning and preparation, but not all of them. And it has a whole section on juicing along with the cooking and baking recipes.

The Garden of Vegan
by Tanya Barnard & Sarah Kramer
Written by two Vancouver gals, this cookbook is not only full of great recipes, but it also has a comprehensive glossary of terms and ingredients. I haven't tried their first book, How it All Vegan (such clever titles!), but this second book is easy to follow and has a fun and friendly tone. It's like Tanya and Sarah are your cooking buddies! They have a website too that you might like to visit.

Sinfully Vegan
by Lois Dieterly
What I love about this author is that she's actually not vegan – but she chooses to make all her treats vegan because they're so much healthier than those full of eggs and dairy products, and kinder to the planet. That's what it's all about: informed decisions, not extremist dogma. I've fed cakes from this book to my meat and dairy loving family and they gobbled it up. Includes plenty of health information and tips.

Flavors of Korea
by Deborah Coultrip-Davis & Young Sook Ramsay
If you've never tried Korean food, you've been seriously missing out. Not only do they say Korean cooking is some of the healthiest and well-balanced cuisine in the world, it is in my opinion one of the tastiest and pretiest foods around. The recipes in this cookbook are easy to follow but also include some extravagant dishes.
